Eastern Algarve
The Eastern Algarve is only a 50 minute drive from Faro airport and easily reached via the main A22 motorway.
Tavira and Montegordo are the two main resorts, and there are six courses in the region, and a further six or seven just over the border into Spain's Costa de la Luz. One of the latest courses to open in this region is Monte Rei, a fantastic course, and a real golfing experience.
The area is relativly unspoilt, the majority of restaurants are traditional Portugeuse, it is not known for its night life, but for a relaxing golfing holiday it is certainly recommended.
